Delores J. Todd

Delores J. Todd, 72, of Trappe formerly of Wingate passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Toddville on August 9, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Maysie Todd Jones.

She attended school in Crapo. On July 21, 1956 she married James Allen Webster Todd. He passed away on August 19, 2003. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters Lynda Thomas and husband Carlton, Jr. of Golden Hill, Lisa Dawson of Wingate and Lori Marshall and husband Gary of Cambridge, five grandchildren Brandy Cumberland, C.J. Thomas, Ariel Dawson, G.R. Marshall and Raven Todd, a brother Allan Jones of Toddville, two sisters Eula Pritchett of Cambridge and Alva Mills of Crocheron, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Todd is preceded in death by a son James A.W. Todd, Jr. and a brother Edgar Jones.

Pallbearers will be Gary Marshall, Carlton Thomas, Jr., C.J. Thomas, G.R. Marshall, Irving Cumberland III and John Degen.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at noon at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dorchester County Humane Society, P.O.
