Dennis W. Bramble, 77, of Trappe passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was born in Cambridge on January 30, 1938 to the late Woodrow and Elizabeth Graham Bramble.
Mr. Bramble graduated from Cambridge High School, and served in the Maryland National Guard. For most of his work life he bought and sold new and used cars and managed automotive dealerships. He also provided bus services for Talbot County Schools and had a small trucking business.
Dennis loved life. A day with family and friends was a perfect day whether boating, hunting, fishing, or skiing. Travel was a special joy and Dennis brought home stories from Nova Scotia to Key West. He lived life with happiness and shared it with all who truly knew him.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret A. Bramble (née Meekins) of Trappe, a son Michael Bramble and wife Jo of Trappe; three granddaughters Diana Bramble of VA, Stephanie Christhilf of VA, and Christine Bramble of Easton; a great-grandson Anthony Christhilf of VA, three sisters Gayle Faulkner of Trappe, Evelyn Lewis of Cambridge, and Phyllis Johnson of NJ. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Graham Bramble.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cambridge Cemetery, Academy St. Cambridge, MD with Rev. William Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust St., Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
