Dennis Michael Palmer, Jr. "Brother" departed this life Nov. 30, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge, MD, age 47, born in Washington, DC. He lived the majority of his life in San Diego, CA with his life partner Bob, who preceded him in death.
Denny came home to Glen Allen, VA in March, 2011 to live with his youngest sister Christina "CC" King, nephew R.J. "Bear" King, "Mom" Millie McCall, and Step "Dad" James David McCall, Jr. and to be near his sister Chris "Tina" Marie Hastings, brother John "Ricky" Ladrido, sister in law Bonnie Willett, Uncle Ron Robbins, Uncle "Jr." Larry Ladrido, Aunt Maria, Annmarie Lanin, Aunts Marta Long and Veronica Cooper, nieces Ashley Muhleman, Brandi Bevins, nephew "John John" King cousins "lil' Ronnie" John Robbins, sister in law Joyce Robbins and his very best friends Ryan Rommell and Patty "wife" Hubbard. Also leaving behind Father Dennis M. Palmer, Sr., step brothers Ritchie and Bobbie, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Gary, Little Wayne and many more loved cousins and extended family members.
He Graduated from Northeast High School in MD and Culinary School in CA, where he worked for the Marriott Corporation.
He was a proud supporter for the gay community traveling and speaking, working together with POZ Magazine. Brother was the longest living survivor of HIV/AIDS. He spent most of his life aiding in the research for the treatment and cure for HIV/AIDS.
He had a passion for stained glass art and loved his dogs. He has given us the greatest gift ever... laughter and love for all living things. Remains rest at home with his Mom at 11311 Wonder Lane, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Memorial/Celebration Of Life Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at Deep Run Park Nature Pavilion Gazebo, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway, Henrico, VA 23233. Rev. Greg Harman from New Beginnings Christian Church, officiating.
