Dewey H. Meekins, Jr

Dewey Howard Meekins, Jr. 58, of Cambridge passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on May 17, 1955 to the late Dewey H. and Audrey Burton Meekins, Sr.
He married the former Donna Windsor on November 18, 1989. Mr. Meekins enjoyed painting, small engine repair, fishing and loved to play with his dog Emmy Lou.
He is survived by his wife Donna Windsor Meekins of Cambridge, two daughters Jerry Lynn Rose and husband Shawn of Woodbridge, VA and Audrey Meekins of Kennedyville, two grandsons, four step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, two sisters Anita Boyles of Cambridge and Charlotte Wroten of Hurlock, three nieces, one nephew, a mother in law Margaret Webster of East New Market and many loyal friends. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Debbie Wingate and one brother Jerry Meekins.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association, 211 E. Lombard St., #109, Baltimore, MD 21202. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
