Dolores A. (Williams) Casserly

Dolores A. Casserly, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Baltimore on March 20, 1937 to the late Melvin and Athalia Williams.

Mrs. Casserly worked for many years as a phone operator for Corporate Express.  On May 26, 1992, she married Mark A. Casserly, Jr.  Mrs. Casserly enjoyed singing throughout her life.  She sang for many of the local churches, and was invited many times to sing for Homecoming services.  She was a very charitable person, and every Wednesday she would go to St. John’s United Methodist Church to dinners, bingos, or any other function they would be hosting.  She loved to play Bingo, and she excelled at it.  More than anything, she loved her grandchildren.  She never missed a sporting event they were in, would always sing to them, and she always had a candy jar by the door for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, or anyone else to enjoy when they came to visit.

Mrs. Casserly is survived by four grandchildren Freddy Morris, Jr. and wife Tara of Frederick, MD, Joseph Morris and wife Stephanie of Crapo, Rachel Morris of Cambridge, and Jake Morris of Westminster, MD,  five great grandchildren Dakota Morris, Freddy Morris III, Jojo Morris, Noah Morris, and Nevaeh Morris, a special son in law who she thought of as her son Frederick Morris, Sr., and three sisters Barbara Calvert, Cindy Dilley, and Donna Kerschner.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Mark Casserly, Jr., and a brother Art Williams.

All services will be private.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD.
