Donald L. Youngbar, Sr.

Donald L. Youngbar, Sr., 84, of Church Creek passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Baltimore on April 27, 1938 and was a son of the late William and Helen Jacobs Youngbar.

Mr. Youngbar attended schools in Baltimore. On March 17, 1957, he married the former Janet Sherman. He worked for a lumber company, and also worked on the water. Mr. Youngbar enjoyed bottle hunting, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Janet Youngbar of Church Creek, a son Donald Youngbar, Jr. and wife Debbie of Pasadena, two daughters Lisa Youngbar of Cambridge and Beth Tolley and husband Philip of Church Creek, grandchildren Brian Youngbar, Allison Bartel, Casey Rhea, Nicole Hurley, and Lindsey Weller, three great grandchildren, four brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Youngbar is preceded in death by a daughter Laura Rhea, a grandson Philip Lee Tolley, and several brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. David Wooten, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Hosier Memorial Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
