Donna Marie Hooper Cox

Donna Marie Hooper Cox, 54, of Easton passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was born on June 18, 1954 in Cambridge and was a daughter of Thomas L. and Julia Marie Ward Hooper.

Mrs. Cox graduated from Cambridge High School in 1972. On June 23, 1984 she married Earl "Skip" Cox. She worked for the Talbot County Government from 1986 until 1996 when she became disabled. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging and arts and crafts. She was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Earl "Skip" Cox of Easton, her parents Thomas and Marie Hooper of Cambridge, a sister Sandy Hooper of New York City, a brother Thomas Hooper of Murfreesboro, Tenn., a stepson Daniel Cox and wife Susan of Easton, a stepdaughter Michelle Wheat and husband John of Seattle, Washington and three step grandchildren Rachel Cox, Matthew Sinclair and Ryan Sinclair all of Easton and several nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Dorchester County Humane Society, P.O.
