Dora L. Lloyd

Dora L. Lloyd, 85, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Springdale on November 3, 1924 and was a daughter of the late William and Emma Diskau Krueger.

Mrs. Lloyd attended schools in East New Market. On June 12, 1951 she married Irving H. Lloyd, Jr. He passed away on December 3, 1981. Mrs. Lloyd worked at Airpax until she retired in 1984. She attended Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter Katherine Denault and husband Donald Denault, Jr. of Delmar, MD, two grandsons Michael L. Jones and wife Ashley of Cambridge and Christopher A. Denault of Delmar, MD, two great grandchildren Alexander and Zachary Jones, a sister Marie Morgan of Wilmington, DE and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Lloyd is preceded in death by a brother Carl Krueger, a sister Katherine Koppleman and two aunts Frieda Gould and Alma Leonard.

Pallbearers will be family members.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Major Lori Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to The Children's House at Johns Hopkins, 1915 McElderry Street, Baltimore, MD 21205.
