Doris L. Cannon

Doris L. Cannon, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born in Cambridge on December 12, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Thurman L. and Lilly Crosby Robbins.

She attended schools in Cambridge. In August of 1950, she married Audrey Leonard Cannon, who passed away on June 6, 1986. She worked as a dietary supervisor at Dorchester General Hospital, but most of her life she was a caretaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, crabbing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons Wesley Cannon and wife Jo of Cambridge and Kenneth Cannon and wife Jeri of Cambridge, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a sister Pat Whaples of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Cannon is preceded in death by two sons Alan G. "Dusty" Cannon and Thurman L. Cannon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Cambridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
