Doris Elzey (Elzey) Marshall

Doris E. Marshall, 73, of Hudson passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Cambridge on May 23, 1943 and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Elzey and Della Wroten Walter.

Mrs. Marshall graduated from Cambridge High School.  She was a housewife and she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William Marshall of Hudson, her children William “Billy” Marshall and wife Linda of Cambridge, Debbie Marshall of Hudson  and Teresa Hernandez of Hudson, six grandchildren Casey Marshall, Megan Marshall, Billy Marshall, Debra Marshall, Carlie Marshall, Ellie Marshall, three sisters Joyce Horseman and husband David of Madison, Brenda “Teenie” Willey and husband Doug of East New Market, Peggy Horseman and husband Sammy of Madison, a brother Elwood Elzey and wife Marion of Madison and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by three brothers Johnny Elzey, Robert L. Elzey, and Calvin Elzey, six sisters Louise Eskridge, Joanne Elzey, Ruth Lankford, Lucille Barnes, Katie Crandell and Sally Crandell.

Pallbearers will be family.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11 am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Pastor Pam Bockart officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803 or to the Dorchester American Youth Football and Cheerleading, c/o Parks and Recreation, 446 Willis Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
