Doris M. Insley, 83, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Cambridge on February 22, 1932 to the late Charles and Helen McCall Newton.

Mrs. Insley graduated from Cambridge High School. She married the late James E. Insley, who passed away on June 10, 2011, on July 20, 1951. Doris worked in the payroll department at Airpax. She enjoyed doing puzzle books, reading, spending time with her family and being active in the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Mays and husband Ron of Hurlock, a son Charles "Chuck" Insley and wife Toni of Cambridge, five grandchildren Jamie Gray, Chris Mays, Eddie Insley, Jake Insley and Jackie Insley, two great grandchildren Angel Gray and Natalia Andrews and a great great grandchild Avery Edmonds. Besides her parents and her husband she is preceded in death by a son Jim Insley and two sisters Barbara Lomax and Linda Rosemere.

Pallbearers will be Charlotte Mays, Charles "Chuck" Insley, Chris Mays, Ron Mays, Jamie Gray and Bill Wroten.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr.officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
