Doris H. Marshall

August 20, 1921 — October 15, 2014

Doris H. Marshall, 93, of Hills Point passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Baltimore on August 20, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice Cavender Hubbard.

Mrs. Marshall was raised in Dorchester County by Grafton and Daisy Wheatley. She attended schools in Hudson and in Cambridge. On January 7, 1939, she married William Robert Marshall, who passed away on March 26, 2001. Mrs. Marshall had been employed at Airpax for 33 years. She enjoyed reading and word search. She was a member of Beckwith United Methodist Church and Neck District Volunteer Fire Company.

She is survived by a daughter Brenda M. Hurley and husband Robert of Hills Point, a son William W. Marshall and wife Doris of Ragged Point, five grandchildren William L. Marshall and wife Linda, Debbie Marshall, Teresa Hernandez, Robert L. Hurley, Jr. and wife Michele and Danny L. Hurley and wife Donna, eleven great grandchildren Casey Marshall, Megan Marshall, Billy Marshall, Debra Marshall, Carlie Marshall, Ellie Marshall, James Hurley, Josh Hurley, Justin Hurley, Jake Hurley and DJ Johnson, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hurley, Jr., Danny L. Hurley, Donald Johnson, Jr., Josh Hurley, William L. Marshall and Billy Marshall.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Beckwith United Methodist Church, 5643 Clifton Woods Drive, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company, 945 Cooks Point Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
