Doris Ann (Warfield) Whitten

Doris Ann Whitten, 70, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. She was born in Dorchester County on February 23, 1948 and was a daughter of Margaret L. Warfield.

She attended schools in Cambridge. On April 4, 1997, she married Donald R. “Fish” Whitten, who passed away on October 30, 2006. Mrs. Whitten worked at Airpax for 30 years.

She is survived by her mother Margaret Warfield of Cambridge, stepson Greg Whitten and wife Margaret of Secretary, step daughter Kim Whitten and wife Barbara Newnam of Cambridge, two step grandchildren Blake Whitten and wife Jordan of East New Market and Meredith Whitten of East New Market, two brothers Richard Wayne “Dickie” Warfield and wife Cindy of Cambridge and Harold Gene "Brownie" Warfield and wife Cathy of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Blake Whitten, Richard Warfield, Steve Whitten, John Conn, Paul Hines and Kenny Kreiser.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. David L. Kreek officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
