Dorothy M. Wroten

Dorothy Mae Milburn Wroten, 91, of Andrews passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Alexandria, VA on July 15, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Betty Breeden Milburn Robinson and Timothy Milburn.

She attended schools in Crapo. On March 26, 1938 she married Wilson W. Wroten, who passed away on January 24, 1999. Mrs. Wroten was employed at Airpax and later she was a home maker. She was a member of the former Streets Church.

She is survived by her granddaughters Amanda Henry and husband Hank of East New Market, Linda Spicer and husband Lingan of Golden Hill, Debbie Linthicum of Cambridge and Sandi Kenny and husband Warren of Andrews, seven great grandchildren Ginni Miller Kienast, Derek Miller, Brandi Linthicum, Karen Linthicum, Jennifer Snelling, Jason Spicer and Scott Henry, great great grandchildren Alyssa, Christian, Zachary, Phoenix "Buzz", Krystal, Kalin, Caleb, Chris and Emily and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wroten is preceded in death by a son George Jackson, a daughter Dorothy McGlaughlin, a sister Mary Bradley, four brothers Thomas Milburn, Edwin Milburn, Lester Milburn and Steve Milburn, a granddaughter Penny Snelling and a great grandson Michael Spicer.

Pallbearers will be Derek Miller, Dave Cannon, Nick Kienast, Tim Colmus, Charles Zepp and Dave Manning.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 3p.m. at Wroten Family Cemetery, 2050 Andrews Road, Crapo, MD 21626 with Rev. David Wooten officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lakes & Straits Volunteer Fire Company, 2103 Farm Creek Road, Wingate, MD 21675. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
