Edna M. Miller

Edna M. Miller, 91, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Baltimore on October 31, 1920 and was a daughter of the late Frank Lester and Florence Condon Schaffner.
In her earlier years, she was a teacher's aide. Later, she was a homemaker and a foster care provider for over 25 years. She was married to John Ralph Miller, who passed away on November 20, 2007. Mrs. Miller enjoyed writing, reading, being with people and had a love for animals.
She is survived by a son Steven Miller of Cambridge, three daughters Patricia Knox and husband John of Cambridge, Lana Parker and husband David of Georgetown, DE and Wendy Wright and husband Jim of Cambridge, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by a son R. Leslie Miller.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Open Bible Church with Rev. David Wooten officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Open Bible Church, 1619 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
