Edward C. Bozel

Edward C. Bozel, 82, of Hurlock, MD passed away at home on August 2nd, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born on March 25th, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Pierce and Alma Anthony Bozel.

On September 7, 1996 Mr. Bozel married the former Joan Seifert. Edward served in the Army, was the past commander of the American Legion, member and past commodore of the Poor Boys Yacht Club, NRA and Brooklyn Park Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, gardening, watching baseball and collecting trains for his train garden. He was also a man very devoted to his faith. 

Edward is survived by his loving wife Joan Bozel and their three children John “Porgy” Grafton, Dennis Grafton and his wife Marian, Julie “Tippi” Grafton and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Anthony “Pierce” Bozel and his daughter-in-law Debbie Grafton. 

Pallbearers will be Ryan Metzdorf, Zachary Robbins, Will Felgenhouer, Thomas Motos, Jr., Zach Grafton and Zed Grafton. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. at 1 PM with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to the Coastal Hospice Foundation P.O. Box 1733 Salisbury MD, 21802.
