Ed Davis passed away on April 30 at PRMC. He was the son of Ed and Jean Davis born on January 28, 1958. He was married for 32 years to Jackie Davis and the father of two daughters Kelly and Samantha.
Ed was a thoroughly talented individual; with each new hobby he took up, he strived to be the best. With every new interest, he always created lasting friendships along the way. He was passionate in sharing his knowledge and enjoyed his many opportunities to mentor others. Ed’s 57 years were filled with love, joy, passion and charity.
Ed was proud of his work at Furuno USA, where he worked for 23 years. He developed life long relationships with his dealers who enjoyed his visits and phone calls. They trusted his advice and guidance but mostly his keen ability to find the best barbeque or chicken wings around. His co-workers respected his work ethic and knowledge, knowing they could call on him anytime for help with a problem.
Even though Ed was not a religious person he fulfilled his obligation to Father Kelly, the priest who married Jackie and him, and helped raise their two daughters in the Catholic faith. He was truly proud of his daughters and the young women they have become.
In the words of Ed’s favorite comedic entertainer Alan King, he is “survived by his wife” Jackie, their two daughters Kelly and Samantha, mother-in-law Joan Davis, brother-in-law Mike and his wife Sandy, sister-in-law Judy and her husband John, brother-in-law Joe and his wife Kathy, sister-in-law Mayte and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved faithful dog, Radar, who will miss the all day belly rubs when Ed worked in his office.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at 3:00pm in St. Mary’s Refuge of Sinners, Minnette Dick Hall, Cambridge MD. Arrangements being made by Thomas Funeral Home.
