Edward Francis Gremillion, 57, of Cambridge, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Easton on Thursday, March 12, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 20, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the son of Alice Ingraham Gremillion and the late Dr. Donald F. Gremillion.

Teddy grew up in Opelousas, Louisiana. Teddy married Merle Marechal Gremillion in July 1972 and had two daughters, Melanie and April. In Louisiana he was a member of United States Junior Chamber of Commerce for many years. Teddy later married Brenda Mathis in December 1984. He received undergraduate and Master's degrees from University of Louisiana in Lafayette and earned a PHD in communications from University of Southern Mississippi. Together Teddy and Brenda moved to Peoria, Illinois where Teddy was a professor at Bradley University. They moved to Silver Springs, Maryland where Teddy worked for the Department of Energy before he began his career in real estate and managed a large Century 21 office for many years. Teddy was an accomplished author and screenplay writer. He wrote several books including "Deep Sleep" and "The Wedding Killer". He was well known for his great love of golf, fishing, cooking, and sports.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Brenda Gremillion, two daughters Melanie Netanel and April Parks, grandsons Cameron Netanel and Chandler Netanel, step-grandson Drew, his mother Alice Ingraham Gremillion, sister, Patty Trahern and her husband Bruce Trahern with their children Sarah and Charlie, and a brother, George Gremillion. He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Donald Gremillion and a brother Forest Gremillion.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613.
