Eleanor (Bohler) Polley

Eleanor Polley, 86, formerly of Taylor’s Island, passed away on October 17, 2020.  She was born in Queens, NY on October 5, 1934 to the late Henry and Margaret Bohler.

Eleanor had a love of education, and she worked for many years as a teacher, most of which she was with Sandy Hill Elementary School in Cambridge.  She enjoyed reading, spending time with her friends and dancing.  Eleanor had a special love for flowers and cats.

Eleanor is survived by her sons John W. Polley, Eric R. Polley, and Kenneth R. Polley, as well as her special friends and caregivers Martha Edge and Nancy Stephens.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Christine Polley-Northam, and her sister Irene DePompa.

At her request, there will be no services.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
