Elihu S. "Colt" Abbott III

Elihu S. "Colt" Abbott III, 15, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born in Easton on November 29, 1998 and was a son of Elihu S. Abbott, Jr. and Robin Airey Abbott.

Colt was entering the 10th grade at Cambridge South Dorchester High School where he was on the cross country, swim and the lacrosse teams. He was a member of CMS and the YMCA where he enjoyed working out. Colt attended Antioch United Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, Colt is survived by a brother Jeremiah Abbott of Cambridge, paternal grandmother Doris Parks Abbott of Robbins, maternal grandmother Mary Phillips Airey and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Colt is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Elihu S. Abbott, Sr. and his maternal grandfather William S. Airey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cambridge South Dorchester Athletics Boosters, in memory of Colt Abbott, c/o Gary Mills, 4895 Drawbridge Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
