Elizabeth A. "Betz" Ward

Elizabeth Ann Ward, “Betz” 66 of Dagsboro, Delaware passed away February 18, 2025 at Accent Hospice, Christiana Care, Wilmington, DE. 

Betz was born July 19, 1958, daughter of Margaret Ann Trice Moore and the late Lt. Colonel James Buckson Moore. She was raised in Dorchester County Maryland where in 1976 she graduated from Cambridge High School. She furthered her education by completing her degree at Wesley College in Dover, DE. Betz was employed by J. Conn Scott for over 30 years as an interior designer, which she truly loved. 

Betz was a loving mother of two children Jacob and Julia Jaquette who preceded her in death Along with her father and first husband Jerry Jaquette and second husband Stephan Lawson Ward who preceded her in death.

 Betz is survived by her mother Margaret Ann Trice Moore and brothers James B Moore and Yvonne Moore, Bradley T Moore and Cynthia Moore and stepchildren Stephan Michael Ward and Shirley Ann Ward and nieces and nephews Jacklyn Moore, Jordan Bowser, Josh Moore, Kim Penny, Ashley Miller, and Trice Moore. 

There will be services at Zion United Methodist Church, 612 Locust Street Cambridge, Maryland Saturday, March 15th at 1 pm. Also, there will be a joint service for Steve Ward and Betz at Bishop and Hastings in Selbyville on Monday, March 31st at 1 pm.
