Elizabeth "Betty" Irene Graham Harrison, 95, of Cambridge, passed away on April 27, 2014 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Baltimore on February 19, 1919, the daughter of Mattie Elizabeth Newton Graham and Clarence Henry Graham.
Mrs. Harrison grew up on Taylor's Island and attended school in Cambridge. Betty enjoyed being a homemaker and liked sewing, crocheting, gardening, and traveling. She especially loved the company of her pets. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and friend; we are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives.
She married the late William Woodrow "Woody" Bramble who died in 1955. She is survived by their children: Dennis Bramble and his wife Margaret of Trappe, Gayle Faulkner and her husband Bob of Trappe, Evelyn Lewis and her husband Henry "Snap" of Cambridge, and Phyllis Johnson and her fiancé, Richard Ockelmann of New Milford, New Jersey and a daughter in law Sandy Bramble Ripple of Trappe. Their son, Graham Bramble of Trappe preceded her in death in 1984.
She has three grandchildren Michael Bramble and his wife Jo of Trappe, Woody Bramble and fiancée Judith VanSchaik of Trappe, and Brian Faulkner and his wife Dottie of Cordova. There are six great- grandchildren: Diana Bramble, Stephanie Bramble and fiancé Anthony Christhilf, Christine Bramble, Alissa Bramble, Zachery Faulkner and Gregory Faulkner, and a great- great- grandson, Anthony Dennis Christhilf. There are several nieces, and nephews, and her special friend, Lisa Crummitt.
Mrs. Harrison was also predeceased by husbands Douglas Sullivan of Trappe and Alfred "Peck" Harrison of Cambridge, three sisters, Alice Palmer of New York, Dorothy Rae of New Hampshire, and Eleanor Richardson of Cambridge.
A graveside service will be at the Old Trinity Churchyard on May 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Father Jack Mason officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Kitty City Rescue, P.O. Box 1259, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangement will be in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
