Elizabeth A. Johnson

Elizabeth A. Johnson, 90, of Salisbury formerly of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Salisbury Genesis Elder Care. She was born in Talbot County on October 14, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Samuel A. Phillips, Sr. and Georgia Julia Marshall Phillips.

Mrs. Johnson attended schools in Talbot County. On July 27, 1940, she married Edward S. Johnson, who passed away on April 21, 1994. Mrs. Johnson was employed by the National Bank of Cambridge for 20 years and retired in 1986. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and with Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary, active in the Robin Hood Shop with over 4000 hours.

She is survived by her son Larry Johnson and wife Linda of Salisbury, two grandsons David Johnson and wife Sandy and Brian Johnson and wife Wendy, four great grandchildren Kyle Johnson and Kelly Johnson, Madeline Johnson and Sterling Johnson, a sister Dorothea George of Easton. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by four brothers Kennedy Phillips, Samuel Phillips, Jr., Robert Phillips and Lowery Phillips, five sisters Eva Miller, Mildred Faulkner, Hilda Ratcliffe, Hazel Phillips and Julia Marie Phillips.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Thomas W. Hurley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Easton. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution to the Robin Hood Shop, 416 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
