Elizabeth A. "Betty Ann" Parks

Elizabeth A. "Betty Ann" Parks, 76, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born on December 7, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Jones, Jr. and Margaret Foxwell Jones.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1955. On November 11, 1957, she married Benjamin F. "Ben" Parks. Betty worked with the State of Maryland for over thirty years as a supervisor and retired due to her health. When Betty's life was coming to an end, she fought her illnesses everyday because she so wanted to be with her family and friends, she loved so much! Betty had a lot of help from her family and good friends Connie Bradley, Becky Tall, Yvonne Dayton and a good friend who took care of her medications Jennifer Grier.

Betty wanted so much to be able to be well enough to take care of her flowers and yard that she loved so dearly. She took a lot of pride in these and when able in good weather could be seen daily taking care of them.

Betty was a great wife and mother who always wanted to be the best she could be to Benny, Vickie, Tracie and all her pets, who she treated like children and all of her great friends.

So long dear Betty Ann. I hope all your illness in heaven will be healed and that you have a yard you can grow your flowers in again and be with Mom and Dad and all other family members and Benny, Vickie and Tracie when we meet you in Heaven. We will miss you always and think of you with love and kisses.

She is survived by her husband Ben Parks of Cambridge, two daughters Vicki Lynn Parks of Woolford and Tracie Lynn Parks of Cambridge, a brother Robert Jones and his wife Darlene of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
