Evelyn Jean Marie Coghlan

Evelyn Jean Marie Coghlan, 48, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Washington D.C. on April 5, 1965 to Thomas F. and Vivian R. Judge Coghlan, Jr.

Evelyn graduated from North Wood High School in Silver Spring, MD. She enjoyed shopping, watching soap operas, going to lunch with her mother, having family dinner on Sunday nights, and loved to spend time with her family and cats. She was a member of Luther Rice Memorial Baptist Church. Evelyn received a pin from Dorchester General Hospital for volunteering 2500 plus hours in the hospitality shop.

Evelyn is survived by her parents, a brother Mike Coghlan, a niece Crystal Coghlan, a nephew Mikie Coghlan, two uncles Glen and Joe Judge and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Thomas F. and Jean McDonald Coghlan, Sr., formerly of Washington, D.C., and her maternal grandparents Glen and Evelyn Judge formerly of Pine Grove, West Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Trice officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St. Alexandria, VA 22311 or Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
