Evelyn M. Miller

Evelyn M. Miller, 98 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Genesiselder Care, The Pines in Easton. She was born on at Toddville on October 27, 1910, and was a daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Ada Mills Todd.

She attended school at Toddville. On March 29, 1930 she was married to Frederick J. Miller. Mr. Miller passed away on December 2, 1979. Some years ago she had worked as a sales clerk in several retail stores in Baltimore. Mrs. Miller had attended Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She had been a resident of the Genesiselder Care, The Pines at Easton for the past year where she passed away on Wednesday morning.

Survivors include a sister Carolyn B. Jones and her husband Alan Jones of Toddville, one brother Bennett Todd and his wife Vivian Todd of Pittsville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Meekins and five brothers Monroe "Pete" Todd, Omro Todd, Wilson Todd, Brice Todd and Charles Warren Todd.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Maryland Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
