Evelyn K. Taylor

Evelyn K. Taylor, 50, of East New Market passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. She was born in Cambridge on February 22, 1962 and was a daughter of Irene Malkus Taylor and the late John Fleetwood Taylor.
She attended Cambridge South Dorchester High School. She graduated from Delmarva Beauty Academy in 1980. She also had worked at Airpax, was a certified daycare provider for 6 years and at the time of her passing she had worked for 15 years for the Dorchester County Health Department. She enjoyed gardening and motorcycle riding. She was a friend to everyone she met and she lived life to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughter Katrina Thomas and husband Josh of Norfolk, VA, her mother Irene Malkus Taylor of Cambridge, four sisters Darlene McNeal and husband Ralph of Easton, Ann McCaslin and husband Daryl of Easton, Ellen Benjamin and husband George of Salisbury and Dawn Eaton and husband Gary of Cambridge, two brothers David Meyer and wife Charlotte of Cambridge and George Taylor and wife Karen of Cambridge, a stepson Scott Simmons of California, her very devoted friend Tim Faulkner and his daughter Melissa Faulkner of East New Market and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will be private.
