Evelyn "Bootie" M. (Mantas) Thomas

Evelyn (Bootie) Mantas Thomas of Cambridge, Maryland passed away at Mallard Bay Nursing Home on ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­August 3, 2018.

She was born September 19, 1918 in Cambridge, and was the daughter of the late Lurinda Seabrease Moore of Cambridge and James Peter Mantas of Mytilene, Greece.

She attended schools in the Rhodesdale area and married Aldred A. Thomas in 1936.  He passed away in 1993.  They had spent many winters in Zephyrhills, Florida where she continued to live until 2010.

She was a group leader at Airpax Electronics having retired in 1971 after 19 years of service.

She was a lifetime member of Choptank Memorial Post VFW #7460 where she held many offices including president.

She is survived by her children, Faye Thomas Mcintyre (Dick), Apollo Beach, Fl., Robert L. Thomas (Nancy) of Salem, Md., Larry A. Thomas (Karen) of MD,  and two grandsons, Robert L. Thomas Jr. (Debbie) and family, Jeffrey S. Thomas (Phyllis) And Family.

Services will be held at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. on Wednesday August 8th at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officating.  Interment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Beulah.

Friends may call at the funeral home with viewing one hour prior to funeral services.
