Florence C. Price

Florence C. Price, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at her home. She was born in Baltimore on June 18, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Jesse and Catherine Connor Lehman.

Mrs. Price attended and graduated schools in Baltimore and graduated from Baltimore Business College. On August 12, 1945 she was married to Edward A. Price. He passed away on January 30, 1999. In earlier years she was a beautician and later was a homemaker. Mrs. Price was a very devoted wife and mother. She was an avid reader and loved the beach. Mrs. Price volunteered in the community and was a member of the Dorchester General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald E. Price of Cambridge, W. Douglas Price of Baltimore and Richard M. "Rick" Price and his wife Cheryl of Hurlock, a sister-in-law Helen Dawson of Cambridge and two special nieces, Harriett Hall and Dorothy Saul and their families. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Price is preceded in death by two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary with Celebrants Stephen C. Lonek and Michael T. Casari officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home P.A. in Cambridge.
