Frances Madeline Pritchett

Frances Madeline Pritchett, 94, of Toddville passed away on April 1, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Wingate on March 12, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Fred Layton Ruark and Lossie Estelle Jones Ruark.

She attended schools in Crocheron. On April 10, 1947, she married Medford J. Pritchett, who passed away on April 11, 2010. In her earlier years, Mrs. Pritchett was employed at Phillips Packing Company, but most of her life she was a homemaker taking care of her son James. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a sister Beatrice Pritchett of Staunton, VA, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Pritchett is preceded in death by a son James Medford Pritchett.

Pallbearers will be F. Levi Ruark, Scott Ruark, Earl Todd, Danny Pritchett, Eric Pritchett and Jira McGlaughlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Hrusecky and Pamela Manley.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Barbara Mills officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
