Frances Nabb (Nabb) Wilson

Frances N. Wilson, 92, of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Chesapeake Woods Center.  She was born in Cambridge on May 2, 1924 and was a daughter of the late George B. Nabb, Sr. and Hattie Johnson Nabb.

On May 30, 1942, she married Robert B. "Boob" Wilson, who passed away on November 14, 2011.  Mrs. Wilson graduated from Cambridge High School.  She was a secretary for Nuttle Lumber Company, Eastern Shore State Hospital Center, and the Dorchester County Health Department.  Mrs. Wilson enjoyed crossword puzzles and riding in the car around town.  She was a member of the Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, American Legion Post 91, and Grace United Methodist Church.  The family would like to thank Coastal Hospice, Home Instead, and Chesapeake Woods Center.

She is survived by three grandchildren Kathryn Willey and husband John of Hurlock, Bobbi Atkinson of Cambridge, and James Mitchell, Jr. of Cambridge, four great grandchildren Michael Willey and wife Amy, Bryan Willey, Aaron Atkinson, and Brittney Hutchins and husband Nick, two great-great grandchildren Noah Willey and Riley Hutchins and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter Katherine Frances Wilson Schuyler, a son James Robert Wilson, two brothers John T. Nabb and George B. Nabb, Jr., and two sisters Sarah Asmussen and A. Emaline Dayton.

Pallbearers will be John Willey, Michael Willey, Bryan Willey, Aaron Atkinson, James Mitchell, Jr., and Carlton Nabb.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Christina Blake officiating.  Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O.
