Frank attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1969. For many years he had worked as an auto mechanic at the Ocean Highway Exxon, service manager at Jerry Nolan's Goodyear Center in Cambridge, and also service manager at Heckler Motor Parts and had also operated his own auto repair shop for some years. He had later worked at Hi-Tech Plastics and later for Solo Cup. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and flying remote control airplanes. Frank was kind to animals and enjoyed feeding birds, especially hummingbirds. He had been in failing health for the past six months, and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital on Monday morning where he passed away.
Survivors include a half brother Chuck Navratil of Chicago, two cousins Theresa Shimek of Cedar Grove Road, Eleanor Adams of East New Market, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and special friends Dr. Paul Stagg and Charlene Stagg and Chris Wright-Gadow all of Cambridge and a canine friend Teddy Stagg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Elizabeth Daffin and Agnes Exline.
A memorial service will be held on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. Peter Smith officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorchester Co. Humane Society, P.O. Box 132, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the
