Gary G. Peek

Gary G. Peek, 66, of Madison passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 due to injuries sustain from an automobile accident. He was born in Cheverly, MD on February 8, 1957 and was a son to the late William F. and Marie Horsman Peek.

Mr. Peek graduated from Poolesville, MD. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Mr. Peek worked with Verizon for 24 years and at the time of his passing he was working with Bay Country Communications. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, metal detecting, sports and just enjoying the outdoors. Mr. Peek was a member of the American Legion Post #91, and the Maryland Association of Salt Water.

He is survived by his wife Carol Peek of Madison, a daughter Lesia Cook of Landover, MD, a son Tommy Cook of Alaska, five grandchildren Jeffrey, Daniel, Jennifer, Eugene and Lonnie, six great grandchildren Brooklyn, Trevor, Camden, Hunter, Liam, and Eleanor, two brothers William Peek and Joe Peek, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother Danny Peek.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
