Geneva J. Burton

Geneva J. Burton, 89, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Dorchester County on November 13, 1923 and was a daughter of the late Rosen and Della Ryan Parks.
Mrs. Burton attended schools in Dorchester County. On December 2, 1941, she married Olin Burton who passed away on June 22, 1981. She was employed at Rob Roy for over 30 years and later at Dorchester General Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter Bonnie Simmons and husband Buddy of Cambridge, a stepson Wayne Burton of Cambridge, two grandsons David Simmons and Drew Simmons both of Cambridge, one great grandchildren Cole Simmons. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Burton is preceded in death by three sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
