Ghemayne P. Henry

Ghemayne P. Henry, 94, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Bishops Head on August 23, 1920 and was a daughter of the late Herman and Mossye Jones Henry.

Ms. Henry graduated from Cambridge High School. She worked has a sales clerk at Leggett's in Cambridge and later at Western Publishing where she retired. Ms. Henry was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Cambridge.

Ms. Henry is survived by her brother Herman Atwood Henry and wife Loretta of Cambridge, two nieces Anne Carol Henry and Jean Karen Henry, two nephews Mark Henry and Timothy Henry. Besides her parents, Ms. Henry is preceded in death by her companion Leon A. Henry and a nephew David Bruce Henry.

Pallbearers will be Roy Mills, Mark Henry, Matthew Henry, Ronnie Richardson, Herbie Dodson, and Bill Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Timothy Henry and Buddy Mowbray.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey,Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
