G. Jean Foster, 65 of Cambridge, passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge on Saturday July 17, 2010. She was born in Cambridge on March 3, 1945, and was a daughter of the late Harvey Watson and Rose Spear Gray, Sr.
Jean attended schools in Cambridge, and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1963. On April 2, 1995 she was married to Danny Foster. She worked at Chung King and Nabisco and later for Hi Tech Plastics. Jean was an officer of Chapter 1084 Women of the Moose for many years, and Mr. Foster currently serving as Governor of Cambridge Lodge No. 1211 Loyal Order of Moose. She was stricken suddenly at her home and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital where she passed away.
Survivors include her husband Danny Foster of Cambridge, two sons Chuck Creighton and his wife Laura Creighton of Cambridge, Billy Creighton and Diana Creighton of East New Market, two step sons Mark Foster and his wife Cindy Foster of Trappe and Michael Foster of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Heather Griep, Danny Martinek, Justin Griep, Chuckie Creighton, Jessica Martinek, Josh Creighton, Brandi Griep, Cassidy Foster, Kelsey Foster, Jimmy Creighton, Julia Creighton and Chayla Creighton, three great grandchildren, Maddox, Ashton and Destini, four sisters Faye Willey and her husband Gerald Willey of Huntingtown, MD, Debbie Baynard and her husband David Baynard of Trappe, Betty Elzey and her husband Jimmy Elzey Linkwood and Tina Walter and her husband Laurence Walter of Cambridge, one brother Harvey W. Gray JR and his wife Cindy Gray of Gaithersburg, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Leona Pritchard.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.a. in Cambridge with the Rev. John Cahall officiating. Interment will take place at the Windy Hill Cemetery in Trappe. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service. Pallbearers will be Buddy Lowe, David Weber, Chuckie Creighton, Josh Creighton, Mike Hubbard and Cedric Elliott.
