Grace H. (Powell) Malik

Grace H. Malik, 96, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Sandy Creek, NC on September 8, 1923 and was a daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Cassie Loyd Powell.

Mrs. Malik graduated from Goldboro High School in North Carolina. She served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Mrs. Malik was a homemaker. She enjoyed working with Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry for over 40 years. Mrs. Malik was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh, PA.

She is survived by two sons Thomas G. Malik of Cambridge and Kenneth Malik and wife Betty of East New Market, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Malik is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a stepbrother.

A private memorial service will be held with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
