Harry H. Harding, Jr., 85, of Vienna passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Hurlock on September 23, 1924 and was a son of the late Harry H. Harding, Sr. and May Florence Wheatley Harding.
He attended schools in Hurlock and in East New Market. He served in U.S. Army in the Signal Corps. From November 14, 1945 and was honorably discharged in December of 1947. He worked on his father on the farm until he was 21. After that he worked for Hall & Doty plumbing for 17 years as a plumber. He enjoyed fishing and loved the water and loved gardening. He was a member of the Elliott United Methodist Church and also the Elliott Vol. Fire Co. and Choptank Memorial Post # 7460 VFW.
He is survived by his son Robert K. "Bobby" Harding of East New Market, a brother Roy Harding Winston-Salem, NC and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Elliott United Methodist Church with Rev. James Bongard officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Heart Fund, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA
