H. Douglas Fox, 93, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on January 30, 1923 and was a son of the late Geather and Charlene Fox.
Mr. Fox graduated from Nortonville High School class of 1941. He also graduated in 1952 from University of Kentucky with a degree in Civil Engineering. On October 5, 1946, he married the former Jane Denton. Mr. Fox served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Mr. Fox worked and retired from Charles E. Brohawn after 25 years of service. He enjoyed sailing, playing golf, wood working, traveling and reading. Mr. Fox was a member of Wicomico Presbyterian Church and a life member of a Masonic Lodge in Oakridge, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Jane Fox of Salisbury, a son Andy Fox and wife Janet of Sharptown, two granddaughters Katie Maldonado (Benny) and Jessica Fox (John), two great grandchildren Benny Maldonado and Madison Woodhouse, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Fox is preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Old Trinity Churchyard with Pastor Dianne Deming officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wicomico Presbyterian Church, 129 Broad Street, Salisbury, MD 21801. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
