Helen C. "Bunnie" (Chason) Crump

Helen C. “Bunnie” Crump, 88, of Easton, formerly of Church Creek, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Talbot Hospice in Easton. She was born in St. Augustine, FL on July 16, 1928 and was a daughter of the late William and Martha Kean Chason.

Mrs. Crump received BA degree from George Washington University and a MSW from the University of Maryland. On November 21, 1945, she married John W. Crump, who passed away on May 27, 1996. Mrs. Crump was a clinical social worker and directed the emergency mental health services of Fairfax County, VA. She was an accomplished bridge player and a devoted student of English history. Mrs. Crump was a member of Old Trinity Church in Church Creek, MD.

She is survived by her daughter Sheila Hartzell and husband Dennis of Church Creek, by    two grandsons Alexander and Zachary Hartzell, and by a brother Robert Chason of Asheville, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1 pm at Old Trinity Church with Father Dan Dunlap officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Talbot Hospice House, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
