She attended schools in Salisbury and graduated from Sanford Prep School in Wilmington. She was first married to George R. Ingersoll, Sr. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Mrs. Timmerman had been an avid bridge player and Bingo player. She had also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She had been at the Mallard Bay Care Center for the past eight years and had been a patient at Dorchester General Hospital since Wednesday where she passed away on Thursday.
Survivors include three sons J. Michael Ingersoll of Wisconsin, Grant H. Ingersoll of Keysville, Virginia and George R. Ingersoll, Jr. of Easton, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
