H. Keith Henry

H. Keith Henry, 76, passed away March 28, 2015 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, DE surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 7, 1938, in Cambridge, MD. Preceded in death was his father Edwin M. Henry, mother, Emma Lee Henry Clayton and his brother Edwin M. Henry, Jr.

He was a graduate of Cambridge High School, class of 1956, attended the Maryland Institute College of Art.

He is survived by his spouse Steven Maslovich of Milton, DE, sister-in-law Barbara Henry of Columbia, MD, niece Jo Pion (Ed) of East New Market, MD, and Kim Reitz (Richard) of West Friendship, MD, sister-in-law Gail Lane (William) of Delray Beach, FL and great nieces, nephews, great great niece and nephews. “Uncle Keith” as he was known to many, was a fun-loving, caring person who loved his family and friends.

There wasn’t a stranger he didn’t know. He started his career in Baltimore as an interior designer with Biggs Furniture Co., H. Chambers Co., before branching out on his own. He worked tirelessly for many charitable organizations, including Beebe Hospital, Children’s Beach House, Rehoboth Art League, past board member at the Dorchester Center for the Arts and was an advocate for the gay community.

A memorial service will be held at Thomas Funeral Home at 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12:30 pm. Family will receive friends at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the H. Keith Henry Endowment Fund at the Dorchester Center for the Arts, 321 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
