Howard U. Bloom, Jr

Howard U. Bloom, Jr., 70, of East New Market passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in Baltimore on August 22, 1943 and was a son of the late Howard U. Bloom, Sr. and Hazel M. Bloom Bramble.

Howard graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1962. He was married to the former Evelyn Hughes. Howard was employed with Wise Oil & Fuel for 46 years and 2 years with Aero. He also opened Howards Train Shop in 1988.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Evelyn Bloom of East New Market, a daughter Diana Rathell and husband Don of East New Market, two sons Michael Bloom and his companion Donna of Georgetown, DE and Howard "Buddy" Bloom III and wife Pam of East New Market, grandchildren Amanda Windsor and husband Donnie, Lee Rathell, Gabrielle Rathell, Howard U. "Buddy" Bloom IV, Jason Bloom, Wayne Robbins, Courtney Bloom Helton, Kelsie Lynn Bloom, Danielle Eaton and Jason Walls, great grandchildren Rachel Windsor, Donald Windsor IV, Daniel Windsor, Abigail Calahan, Kaleigh Calahan, Anna`leise Robbins and Rebekah Bloom and numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, brother and sister in laws and his dog Sport. Besides his parents, Howard is preceded in death by a brother Walter P. Bloom and a sister Sandra J. Meredith.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating.
