Idabelle G. (Gale) Neal

Idabelle G. Neal, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born in Brookview on July 26, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Helen Boevers Gale.

On May 30, 1953, she married Vernon Neal who passed away on October 8, 2005. She was employed at Dorchester General Hospital and later with the Dorchester County Board of Education as a school nurse for 44 years. Mrs. Neal was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Easton.

She is survived by a daughter Tammy Ann Neal (Richie) of Cambridge, a son Vernon Keith Neal and wife Linda of Cambridge, two granddaughters Kristina Lynn Neal of Easton and Katherine Yingling and husband Ryan of Las Vegas, two step grandchildren Nicole Moore and Erika Fatula and husband Steve, six great grandchildren, and several nieces. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Neal is preceded in death by twin brothers August Gale and George Gale and her fiancée James Middleton.

Pallbearers will be Doug Turner, Ryan Turner, Timmy Seabreaze, Ryan Hubbard, Ricky Dukes and Dustin Collison.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 1pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Mark Tooley officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 and from 12 to 1 on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O.
