Irving O. Kemp, 61, of Hurlock passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his home. He was born in Chestertown on April 22, 1949 and was a son of the late Irving and Audrey Smith Kemp.
Mr. Kemp attended schools in Sudlersville. On April 29, 1967 he married the former Peggie Townsend. He had worked for the Hurley Twins and also with Thomas Ruark in Salisbury for 23 years as a painter. Mr. Kemp enjoyed fishing, gardening, country and blue grass music and watching t.v. He also loved his two dogs Sparky and Buttons.
He is survived by his wife Peggie Kemp of Hurlock, four children Melonie Villalta of Cambridge, Rodney Kemp of Hurlock, David Kemp of Cambridge and Brian Kemp of East New Market, nine grandchildren Myranda Villalta, Carmen Villalta, Ricky Villalta, Jennifer Bradley, Emma Kemp, Collin Kemp, Cody Kemp, Devin Kemp and Katy Dibble, and one great grandchild Landon Pham. Besides his parents, Mr. Kemp is preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Mae Hoggard.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at East New Market Cemetery with Pastor George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating.
