Isabell Todd Phillips

Isabell T. Phillips, 81, of Salem passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Atria Assisted Living in Salisbury. She was born in Cambridge on February 8, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Charles B. Todd and Lizzie Jones Todd.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1953. On March 25, 1955, she married Robert L. Phillips, who passed away on June 29, 1995. In her earlier years, she worked at Bell Atlantic, later worked at Super Fresh. She enjoyed painting, sewing, going to the beach and a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons Daniel Phillips and wife Jennifer of Salisbury and Todd Phillips of Washington, DC, three granddaughters Katherine Phillips, Ashley Jones and Lauren Phillips all of Salisbury, a sister Patricia Hurley and husband Chuck of East New Market, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Isabell is preceded in death by a son Mark Phillips, two brothers Howard Insley Todd and Charles William Todd, six sisters Elizabeth Lyons, Frances Wrightson, Josephine Brinsfield, Dorothy Matthews, Mary Ann Foxwell and Betty Jean Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Interment will follow at the churchyard. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
