Isabelle E. Hossbach, 89, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Wilmington, DE on January 28, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Henry C. and Mildred Bryan Fisher.

Mrs. Hossbach moved to Baltimore with her parents at an early age. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1939. She attended and graduated from Strayer College. On March 28, 1942 she was married to Francis S. Hossbach, Jr. She had worked as a secretary at B&O Railroad in the freight department. Mrs. Hossbach had also worked for the U.S. Maritime Commission, Windsor Publications, M. Nelson Barnes and Horns Point Environmental Lab. She was also a certified notary. Mrs. Hossbach had retired a number of years ago. She was a communicant of St. John's Chapel and for over 25 years she had done the church bulletins. She was also a church guild. Mrs. Hossbach was a member of the Minerva Chapter #50 Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Dorchester Garden Club. She enjoyed needlework, sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her husband Francis S. Hossbach Jr. of Cambridge, a daughter Frances H. Brannock and her husband Terry L. Brannock of Cambridge, one son Bryan Scott Hossbach and his wife Nancy Hossbach of Largo, Florida, four grandchildren Bryanne Jones, Heath Hossbach, Hank Brannock and Thomas Brannock and two great grandchildren Caleb and Isabelle Jones.

Pallbearers will be Doug Parks, Hank Brannock, David Wallace, J.T. North, Barrett Jones and David Rever. Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Higgs, David Ridley and Bill Gootee. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Chapel in Cornersville with Rev. Walter Reuschling officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John's Chapel, c/o James Lewis, 1213 Hudson Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. A
