J. Evelyn Hubbard

J. Evelyn Hubbard, 101, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Cambridge on January 16, 1913 and was a daughter of the late George Cleveland Warfield and Cora Marshall Warfield.
She attended schools in Hudson. Evelyn was a homemaker, but she also worked with several hunting lodges, where she was an avid duck and geese picker. Evelyn loved to dance and routinely went to dance well into her 80's.
She is survived by her son Donald Leslie "Butterbean" Hubbard of Cambridge, two grandsons Ricky Lee Hubbard of Cambridge and Richie Allen Hubbard of Linkwood, a granddaughter Beverly Ann Williamson of Preston and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by two sons Dorsey Lee Hubbard and Harold Stanley Hubbard, nine brothers and sisters Florence M. Thompson, Julian Norman Warfield, George Medford Warfield, Hazel R. Condon, Leonard Warfield, Calvin Lee Warfield, Thelma Wittstadt, John Richard Warfield and Curtis Edward Warfield.
Pallbearers will be Craig Schneider, Danny Windsor, Art Wheatley, Radcliffe Wheatley, David Marshall and Chris Weber.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
