J. Brian Jones

J. Brian Jones, 44, of Toddville passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on May 17, 1970 and was a son of Joyce Woodland Jones and the late Luther C. Jones.

Brian graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1988.  He was a self-employed watermen. Brian loved his dogs and cats.

He is survived by his mother Joyce Ann Jones and companion Shannon Dawson of Toddville, a brother Chris Jones of Woolford, a niece Taylor Jones, two aunts Bonnie McCarter of Cambridge and Cindy Jones-Pritchett of Cambridge, two uncles Charles Woodland of Crocheron and Danny Jones of Cambridge and numerous cousins. Besides his father, Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Hallie and Winnie Woodland and paternal grandparents Calvert and Roucelle Jones.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Simmons, Robert Elzey, Brandon Beville, Lee Robinson, Norval Pritchett, Jr. and Zach Seaman. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jones and Wayne McCarter.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Richard Prahl officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
