James H. "Buddy" Faulkner, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was born in Windy Hill on October 27, 1931 to the late Webster and Sudie Collins Faulkner.
Buddy attended school in East New Market. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On February 15, 1963, he married the former Mary Ellen Figgs. Buddy had been employed with several auto body shops and at his time of passing, he was working for AAA Transporting. In his earlier years, Buddy enjoyed camping with his family and riding on his Harley Davidson. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederated Veterans and a lifetime member of the Federalsburg VFW Post #5246.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen "Bootsie" Faulkner of Cambridge, three sons James H. "Buddy" Faulkner, Jr. and his partner Brian Miller of Alexanderia, VA, Bob Faulkner and wife Michelle of East New Market and Bill Faulkner and wife Tracy of Delmar, DE, a daughter Gloria Faulkner McCumbers of Federalsburg, a former daughter in law Tracy Faulkner of Hurlock, nine grandchildren Michael Faulkner, Kevin Faulkner, Brooke Faulkner, Robby Faulkner, Rebecca Faulkner, Makayla Faulkner, Robert Barnes, Karyn Kelley and Kurt Barnes, seven great grandchildren, a brother Alan S. "Rocky" Collins, Sr. and wife Sandy of Millsboro, DE and three nephews.
Pallbearers will be his three sons and his three grandsons.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor John Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
